The number of vacancies has increased to 4 lakh 89 thousand 976 when there is a war of educated unemployed in government jobs. There are 13 lakh 96 thousand 818 officers and employees against the total sanctioned 19 lakh 151 posts in the administration.
This information is known from the book 'Statistics of Government Servants' of 2022 about the statistics of public administration officials and employees.
The book with 2021 statistics was released on Thursday (June 1). The previous year there were 3 lakh 58 thousand 125 posts.
According to statistics, 6 thousand 821 out of 21 thousand 709 posts at ministry and department level, 3 lakh 25 thousand 336 out of 14 lakh 22 thousand 828 posts at organization and directorate level are vacant.
13 thousand 357 vacancies out of 40 thousand 273 posts in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner. 1 lakh 57 thousand 819 posts are vacant in various autonomous bodies and corporations. In all, the total number of posts is 4 lakh 15 thousand 341.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) appoints the posts in the first to 12th grade in government jobs. And the ministry and department directly appoints 13th to 20th grade posts.
According to statistics, 3 lakh 93 thousand 247 posts were vacant in 2018, 3 lakh 87 thousand 338 posts in 2019, 3 lakh 80 thousand 955 posts in 2020 and 3 lakh 58 thousand 125 posts in 2021.

১০ম থেকে ১২তম গ্রেডে (আগের দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণি) ২ লাখ ৯১ হাজার ১১১টি পদের বিপরীতে আছেন ১ লাখ ৯৩ হাজার ৬৬৪ জন। শূন্য পদ ৯৭ হাজার ৪৪৭টি পদ।
১৩ম থেকে ১৬তম গ্রেডে (আগের তৃতীয় শ্রেণি) ৭ লাখ ৯৫ হাজার ৪০টি পদ রয়েছে। এসব পদের বিপরীতে কর্মরত আছেন ৬ লাখ ৩ হাজার ৪৩৩ জন। শূন্য রয়েছে ১ লাখ ৯১ হাজার ৬০৭টি পদ।
১৭তম থেকে ২০তম গ্রেডে (আগের চতুর্থ শ্রেণি) ৫ লাখ ৫৮ হাজার ৪৬৯টি পদ রয়েছে। এসব পদের বিপরীতে কর্মরত আছেন ৪ লাখ ১৫ হাজার ১০৪ জন। ফাঁকা রয়েছে ১ লাখ ৪৩ হাজার ৩৬৫টি পদ।
সরকারি বিভিন্ন দফতরে নির্ধারিত ও অন্যান্য কাজের জন্য ১১ হাজার ৪৩৫টি পদ রয়েছে। এসব পদের বিপরীতে কর্মরত আছেন ৫ হাজার ১০৩ জন। শূন্য রয়েছে ৬ হাজার ৩৩২টি পদ।
